PCIeEXT-16HOT-G5 - PCIe LIVE INSERTION EXTENDER

Features:

• Lubricated PCIe-Gen5-rated connector for thousands of insertions.
• Allows testing of x16, x8, x4, x2 and x1 Cards.
• Compatible with PCIe5.0, 4.0, 3.0, 2.1 and 1.0 (GENs 5-1) environments.
• Controlled-Impedance 85 Ohm differential microstrip traces for all high-speed signals.
• Allows Power From Motherboard Slot Power or External +12V and +3.3V power (switch selectable). Use external power only when needed, and with caution.
• Installing a jumper at M1 causes the +12 and +3.3V supplies to ramp up more slowly over a 300us period, to limit inrush current, when Slot Power Switch is turned on.
• Installing a jumper at M2 disables the extender's current limiting, and enables up to 12A to be delivered to the UUT. This mode must be used with caution to prevent destruction of the motherboard or PCIeEXT-16HOT-G5's PCIe connector (which will void the warranty).
• Extends UUT approximately 6" up from motherboard, requiring use in chasses with low rear wall height.

• Slot Power Switch will turn off power to the UUT, allowing removing and replacing UUT without system shutdown or reboot.

• Automatically save and restore UUT's PCIe configuration space, for quick board swapping without system shutdown or reboot.

• Test points with 1V/A outputs indicate current consumption of UUT on 12 Volt, 3.3 Volt, and 3.3Vaux supplies.

• Two red LEDs indicate overcurrent on +12V and combined +3.3V and +3.3AUX supplies.
• Current limiting prevents most damage on +12, +3.3, +3.3AUX supplies.
• Two Green LEDs indicate presence of +12V and +3.3V power

• UUT board is held in power-on-reset until power reaches proper level and host RESET is inactive.
